We are excited to take our commitment to supporting local students to the next level. We will be providing scholarship funding for students interested in studying visual art at Southeastern Community College.
We are looking for artisans who create original art: paintings, drawings, woodwork, metalwork, jewelry, sculptures, pottery, photography and more!
March 31, 2023 - Application deadline
We have something for everyone. Most classes do not require any experience. Come learn something new in a warm + welcoming environment.
Art is a powerful catalyst in sparking creativity, developing new ideas, and discovering new ways to approach problems. It isn't always the end product but the process that helps inspire our creative nature. We believe in creating opportunities like unique events and public art displays that encourage a more vibrant community. We want to see Burlington thrive.

Corrine Smith is an independent mixed media artist and educator originally from Rock Island, Illinois, “My art is a reflection of my life. My compositions are full of dimension, expression, texture and pattern. I approach the work intuitively by laying in color choices, be it paint, papers or prints. I am always striving for an aesthetic surprise. My ongoing goal is to keep an open mind, expand my perception and continue to create.”
